The QA Director will execute, build, maintain, and support the processes for hiring, training and testing of QA personnel on full-time/part-time and temporary basis. You will also establish and maintain quality assurance protocols for internally and externally developed products that equal or exceed commercially acceptable standards for console and PC products.
Responsible for all games assigned to their testing department. Coordinates all of the different game projects and ensures that they are on track. They also communicate with (or act as) the human resources department, making decisions for hiring, firing, or settling other issues related to employees. The QA Manager gives final test approval for any project.
Assigned on a per-game basis. Ultimately responsible for the testing that occurs on that title, and may communicate directly with the supervisor, manager, or producer where the game is concerned. Responsible for filing daily reports on bugs and progress.
Review the product's text, looking to make technical corrections as well as reviewing the translation work itself to ensure that it matches natural speech patterns, just like an editor.
Responsible for executing test cases against a mobile service’s products and for reporting and verifying defects found. Products under testing include applications and games.
Usability Lab technician or psychologist.
Manages entire staff of testing personnel. Oversees scheduling, assignment and staffing issues.
Managerial Role overseeing multiple projects.
Responsible for team of testers; often on a single platform. Develops test plan and manages testing process and bug database.
Tests the game; reports bugs into bug database.
Assists the Producer by performing many of the tasks the producer performs yet cannot get to in a day.
Highly skilled tournament-level player used to balance strategy games for multiplayer gaming.
Tester dedicated to building, running and maintaining bug databases.
